Hey, Does anyone know what needs to be done so that Quickbooks sends the pension information to Nest automatically?

I'll help with your payroll question, stephan3.

I know how you can sync your payroll data to Nest. Can you also tell us what version of payroll you're using?

The process of sending this type of data to pension providers depends on the type of plan that you have. If you're using the Standard Payroll plan, follow these steps on how you can send your data to Nest:

  1. View your payroll reports.
  2. Export or download the file to your computer. Then, you can submit the data directly to NEST from their website.

If you're using Advanced Payroll, follow these steps to automatically send your data to NEST:

  1. Go to your business dashboard, look for Payroll Settings, and then select Pension Settings.
  2. Click the Add pension scheme via PensionSync button.
  3. Click Connect to PensionSync button. This will connect your business file to PensionSync.
  4. Once your business file is connected to PensionSync you can launch the Scheme Management Tool (SMT) which you can use to manage all your PensionSync interactions.
  5.  Click the Open Scheme Management Tool button and create a PensionSync account. If you already have an account,  you're now ready to import your pension scheme details into your business. You can do this by clicking on the Import from PensionSync button.
  6. Enter NEST and your employer ID.
  7.  Click Link Scheme. Then, authorise your pension scheme to be used with PensionSync. To do this, click the button to launch the PensionSync Authorisation Gateway.
  8. Once you've authorised the PensionSync gateway, your pension scheme information will be imported into your business file and you'll be able to start processing pensions payments for that employee.

Hey, Does anyone know what needs to be done so that Quickbooks sends the pension information to Nest automatically?

Hi

I have Advanced Payroll and Nest pension.

it is set up to sync, but at the end of the tax year, now I have a difference in scheduled date.

Nest is set up for tax weekly.

Can you please tell me if QBAP is working with weekly or tax weekly schedules?

thank you for your time and help!

Hello, BP75.

To answer your question, yes, QuickBooks Online Advanced Payroll supports a weekly pay schedule.

You can start sending your data to Nest by following the steps in this article: Pension Scheme Setup in QuickBooks Online Advanced Payroll.
