I have 2 staff enrolled with Nest pensions. When I do the payroll it calculates the deductions. What do I then need to do to get that information to Nest and pay Nest?

I have 2 staff enrolled with Nest pensions. When I do the payroll it calculates the deductions. What do I then need to do to get that information to Nest and pay Nest?

Thanks for being part of the QuickBooks family. It’s my priority to help guide you on how to get the contribution information for NEST.

 

The process of pulling up the data depends on the type of payroll service you’re currently using. Rest assured, I’ll walk you through the process.


For QuickBooks Online Payroll:

 

  1. Go to Reports on the left panel, then enter Workplace Pension in the search field.
  2. Click on the drop-down for Select date range, and choose the correct period.
  3. Click on the Contribution link.
  4. Download the report and make sure not to open it. This is to avoid changing the file format as required by Nest.


For Paysuite:

 

  1. Go to Employees on the left panel.
  2. On the Employees page, go the Reports section.
  3. Enter the correct year and payday.
  4. In the Reports for tax year section, download the Nest Report.
  5. Download the report and make sure not to open it. This is to avoid changing the file format as required by Nest. 

Once done, you can now send the report and pay the contribution to Nest.
