Importing employee data from sage 50

I can see the importance of a smooth data transfer process, @Aimen.

I'm here to help you resolve the error message you encountered when you tried to import employee data from your Sage50 software to QuickBooks Online (QBO) Bureau Payroll.

Based on the error message you received, there may be missing pension-related information for your employees in the data you are trying to import.

To resolve this, I recommend reviewing the pension settings for each employee in your Sage50 software. For this, please ensure that all pension-related details, such as pension scheme, employer contribution, employee contribution, pension start date, and provider details, are filled in. You can consider contacting Sage50 Support to help in this process.

Once done, export your data from Sage50 in a CSV file. You can follow these steps:

  1. In Sage50, go to Wizards, choose Data Export, then Payroll Data Export
  2. Select the relevant templates:
    a. Company Pension Schemes
    b. Employee Details
    c. Employee Year to Date Figures
  3. Save each file as CSV, ensuring you tick the Create a CSV file with Payroll fields as column headings box.

To import the CSV file to QBO Bureau Payroll, you can follow these steps:

  1. In QBO, go to Payroll and select the Employees tab.
  2. Next to Add Employee, select the dropdown arrow and choose Import Employees.
  3. For the Import Employees from section, select Sage50 File Import.
  4. Import each file in the following order:
    a. Pensions for the Company Pension Scheme CSV file
    b. EmployeeImport for the Employee Details CSV file
    c. OpeningBalances for the Opening Balances CSV file

Thanks for your response, but everything seems fine to me. I don't know where the issue is. The data is quite large so I can't update pension settings one by one.
