My P32 record for 2024/2025 only shows half of the year how can I change this?

There are several possible reasons why you’re seeing only part of your P32 record for the 2024/2025 tax year. These reasons may include migration between payroll systems or the timing of payroll processing, Bailey.

If you migrated from QuickBooks Online Standard Payroll to QuickBooks Payroll Core, your P32 record may only show the payroll tax information processed in QuickBooks Payroll Core. Any payroll data processed in QuickBooks Online Standard Payroll before the migration may not automatically appear in your current report.

To include records from QuickBooks Online Standard Payroll in your 2024/2025 P32, follow these steps to download the report manually:

  1. Go to the Payroll tab in QuickBooks Online.
  2. Select Overview from the menu.
  3. On the right-hand side of the screen, locate the Action dropdown menu.
  4. Click Download P32 to save your complete P32 report from QuickBooks Online Standard Payroll.

If you haven’t migrated payroll systems, the issue may be due to incomplete payroll processing during the tax year. The P32 report provides payroll tax information for the periods when payroll was processed, and it won’t include any months for which payroll has not yet been run.

When you have only run payroll for part of the tax year (for example, from April to September), the report will only include data for those specific months. The remaining months of the tax year will be blank until payroll is run for those subsequent months.

Additionally, I've included an article that provides further information on how the Employment Payment Record (P32) report works in QuickBooks Online Standard Payroll.
