Hi, @glamorganhotel.

Let me help you about paying Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) to your employees and help you from there.

An employee is paid for the number of Qualifying Days they are absent. The first 3 Qualifying Days are known as Waiting Days and the employee does not receive SSP for these days. Let me show you how to enter your payroll.

  1. Go to the Employees or Payroll menu.
  2. Choose the applicable employee.
  3. Select Actions and select Employee's Leave.
  4. TapStatutory Sick Pay (SSP).
  5. Click the First day of leave
  6. Save your changes

I'm adding this article for more guidance: Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) in QuickBooks Online Advanced Payroll.
