Ive been trying the Quickbooks app to record and submit mileage claims. It records the trips OK with the milage and related cost. But how do I get the app to submit the trips to QBO? Nothing seems to happen! The data just stays in the phone app, shows as reviewed but does not appear in the online app for approval and payment

Hi Eddie, On the left-hand side underneath the taxes tab there should be a mileage tab that will show all the trips recorded in the app. At the moment it is something that just records the trips and shows the cost per mile, it does not create an expense from it. Are you are looking to then record the mileage expense in QB and then the reimbursement in the advanced payroll?
Hello Eddie, Can we check are you master admin on your QuickBooks account? When you go to the mileage section on the browser version do you just have a black screen? Could you post a screenshot of what you see? Thanks
Hi
Yes I am Master Admin. I should have said we are using Advanced Payroll. When you refer to the " mileage section on the browser version" - where precisely is this? Please give me the navigation route to get there.

Thank you - I've found it.
But thats pretty useless and it doesn't even show it by person.
Whats the intended use case for this?
I was looking for an easier way for staff to enter mileage claims. I suppose the only other option it do manually through the employee portal. But that only allows the input of a financial amount - not distance.
So overall well below my expectations and seems of limited value
Actually this is not a solution. As you can see from my other comments, I had hoped the app would integrate with payroll to make the whole approval process more streamlined. A standalone app is of limited utility.
Hi Eddie-Paterson, we appreciate what you are saying and have passed this on but currently there is not functionality to be able to do payroll though the app this has to be done though the web browser version.
