The QuickBooks Community unlocks the power of many for the prosperity of one. Whether you’re starting a new business, becoming self-employed or deciding to work for yourself as an accountant everything can feel a little overwhelming - *I have been there, I know the feeling, I know the stress but I also know how exciting it can be!*

When you’re building or growing a business, you need answers to countless questions – but getting the information you need, when you need it, takes a lot of time and effort. That’s why we created the QuickBooks Community.

Networking is incredibly important for any business. Business is about people at the end of the day.

Maybe being able to network with related businesses on the community where we can choose groups to be part of that specifically relate to our types of businesses. Some may want to be part of a general group, some all, some their particular sector/niche. This may help harness specific advice related to the individual.

I joined the community to enable me to help QuickBooks Online users mainly however I have since used the questions and problems that people face to help me provide the best training and support for my clients within my accountancy firm and the role I have as a cloud accounting specialist specalising in QuickBooks Online alone. 

It has allowed me to build up a portfolio of tutorials on my YouTube channel based on some of the questions that I have seen posted on the community. You can find the channel here: PJCO YouTube Channel.

I also love reading the business related blogs that are posted on here as it gives me a real insight into the other side of business e.g. from the clients point of view.

I completely agree. Networking has been a fundamental part of my business, it's helped me meet new brands and exchange ideas with others. The community will definitely provide that too! 

As a community, we have specific boards which hold specific information. However, members are certainly allowed to discuss topics they wish to share. Even if it isn't in the correct board, we can assist you as Community Hosts.

I love how the community can provide that support for you and your clients. Not only is this space for learning and networking, it's a great place for inspiration and motivation. Speaking to others in the same situation can really make a difference in productivity.

I have not used any other communities - are there any that you could suggest to me that may be of use?

I like that QuickBooks Community welcomes everyone whether you be a small independent sole trader to a larger limited company as well as a mix of professionals submitting their thoughts and feelings on certain topics.

I haven't engaged in any other communities. However, what I adore about our community here at QuickBooks is = human interaction. Our members love sharing what they know, commiserating about a tough day and cheering madly when things go well. In the QB Community, you’ll never feel intimidated asking a question, sharing about a struggle or celebrating a win. Everyone is welcome!

I love video tutorials. I don't think you can go wrong with a short clip to show someone how to do something in QuickBooks Online.

I really also like the short blogs like '5 ways to ...' etc. They are short which means that I can read them even when I am busy!

Short clips are great! Long videos can be confusing, in my experience. 

Yes, I agree with the short blogs. They're handy if you want a quick read and answers fast. We have some posts in that format on the community - 5 Reasons to Join The QB Community. I believe these style of posts work better with mixed audiences and they offer a little bit of something for everyone.
