Submitted VAT Return not showing on list in QB

A VAT return submitted on 5th April 22 for quarter ending 28.2.22 has disappeared off my list of returns in the QB VAT page?  Any ideas why this has happened and how i make it re- appear?  It was there immediately after I submitted?

Thanks

Submitted VAT Return not showing on list in QB

Hi there, @Peter Caley.

I've come with a solution that can help show your submitted VAT return on the VAT menu.

All submitted/filed VAT returns within QuickBooks should show in the VAT menu. Since yours isn't showing, let's first review the status of each return. This will help identify whether the VAT return's status has already been updated. Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
  2. Click Taxes from the left menu, then select VAT.
  3. In the Returns tab, choose the OpenFiled, or Paid status from the drop-down.
  4. Then, review each status and locate the return.

If you're still unable to find your submitted VAT return, I suggest clearing your browser's cache. It's possible that the browser you're using had a data issue, thus causing QuickBooks to act weirdly. This troubleshooting will help the system start fresh.

You may be also interested in setting up VAT settings, codes, and rates in QBO. This article will guide you through the process: Set up and edit VAT settings, codes, and rates in QuickBooks Online.

Please let me know how things go, @Peter Caley. I'll be around to provide further assistance. Have a good one.
