When filing a VAT return from QB what information does HMRC actually receive ?

I have two customers (one inparticular) that is very discreet about their work - for the record, not from an illegal POV

When filing a VAT return through MTD what information does HMRC actually receive, is it a list of all transactions or is it just the VAT return itself ?

Hello Jack,

Welcome to the Community.

HMRC only receive the VAT return itself so boxes 1-9 with the figures. They don't receive the transactions.

Thanks ^Becky
