My bank accounts keep being disconnected from Quickbooks, I have to reconnect them quite often but now it just doesnt connect anymore (both for barclays and Amex)

Hi VLP, 

 

Due to the implementation of Open Banking which came into effect in the UK in March, we currently do not have a connection to AMEX, as the standard feed type that this was connected through has been switched off. 

 

We'll be introducing a new connection to AMEX soon, which you can see here for updates on when this becomes available. 

 

What is the error you are seeing when updating the Barclays account?

Thanks for attaching the image Vincent, are you able to login to your online banking successfully? 

 

Does the message persist if you try and connect the account through an incognito/private browsing window?

the connections keep crashing, I have to reconnect them all the time (for barclays and barclaycard)

when you have to keep on reconnecting your Barclays accounts do you get any error codes or messages show up?

no I can connect them fine but then the following day I am asked again to renew the connections. I have done this multiple times

We want to make sure you have a steady bank connection in your QuickBooks Self-Employed account. I'd recommend reaching out to our Customer Care Team, so we can check on this behavior further.

 

Before doing so, please check out our support hours here: Support hours and types. Then, follow these steps:

 

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Self-Employed. You can click the Assistant option or click the Help icon located in the upper right-hand corner.
  2. In the Help window, click the Contact Us button at the bottom.
  3. Enter your question and click the Continue button.
  4. Select Start a chat or Get a callback.
