I'll make sure that you can submit VAT return, @gabrielle45-hotm.
Before anything else, can you provide me the exact error code so I could dig deeper into the issue?
For now, we can try performing some trouble shooting steps. A cache full of history and temp files can cause unexpected behaviors, such as getting an error while submitting VAT. To rule this out, log in to your QuickBooks account using a private browser.
Use these keyboard shortcuts based on the browser you're using:
- Ctrl + Shift + N for Google Chrome
- Ctrl + Shift + P for Firefox & Microsoft Edge
- Command + Shift + N for Safari
Once you're in, try submitting vat return again. If it's now working well, go back to your regular browser and then clear its cache to start over fresh. Alternatively, you can use other supported browsers to further isolate the issue.
I've also enclosed an article that you can read to help avoid problems and mistakes that could affect your VAT return: QuickBooks VAT error checker FAQ.
