Hey tzga6,
We do not currently have any reported issues with the PayPal connection, do you recieve an error code or message when attempting to update the feed?
I am asked to 'reconnect account' which I do and then it asks me to keep connected - which I do, but then no transactions are downloaded. It just prompts me to reconnect again.
This happened earlier in the year and here is the response from the QB moderator in reply to somebody else's similar issue: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/banking/why-is-my-paypal-bank-not-updating-transac...
For information my last successful Paypal download was 5th November 2019.
I appreciate you for trying to resolve this on your end, tzga6.
If the transactions of your PayPal account has multi-currency, this can be the reason why it’s not downloaded to QuickBooks. Since, the program is unable to handle banks with different currencies, you’ll be encountering an issue when trying to download them.
However, if you’re using only one currency, I’d recommend contacting our Phone Support Team. They can check your company info on what causes you this issue.
Let me show you how:
I’m just around the corner if you still need my help.
Just heard from QBO support that QuickBooks is no longer supporting Paypal banking anymore. Not sure if it is just in the UK or worldwide, but this is not good news for those of us who use Paypal as part of our small business transactions.
Hi there, tzga6.
PayPal has its multi-currency feature. When transactions are downloaded to QuickBooks Online, they cause some conversion issues. With this reason, we working on finding solutions on how to deal with them. That is why we are discontinuing the app's online banking connection.
However, you can still connect your PayPal account for online payments. Here's a reference: Steps to get paid using PayPal and QuickBooks.
Automatic downloads of PayPal transactions may not be available, but you can still upload them manually. It is done by import a Excel CSV file. You can find the detailed steps in this link.
