Error message Authentication failed input input. How can I ronnect my bank account?

I'll make sure you can reconnect your bank account to QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), @wmark74-hotmail-.

Before we start, can you verify the name of the financial institution you want to reconnect with? Any additional information will get us closer to the resolution.

The Authentication failed input error is about the appropriate account privileges with your financial institution to share your information. You can check this article for more details: Connect your bank feeds to Open Banking

To fix this, make sure to set up the appropriate Open Banking privileges on your bank account, or contact your bank's Service Help Desk for assistance.

Once resolved, you can reconnect your bank account by following these steps:

  1. Go to the Transactions menu.
  2. Select Add account.
  3. Follow these steps to connect the account to online banking again.

I've attached a screenshot below that shows the first two steps.

Meanwhile, you can temporarily import your bank transactions using a CSV file. You can refer to this article for the step-by-step guide: Manually import transactions into QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Also, when you've successfully reconnected your bank account and downloads the latest transactions, you can create rules to speed up reviews on your data.

Please keep me updated on how it goes by dropping a comment below. Let me know If you have other banking concerns, and I'll gladly help. Take care always.
