I have connected 2 accounts, from a UK bank, one in GBP the other in EUR, but quickbooks insists that the EUR account is GBP, and the currency box is greyed out so I can't change the currency on the account to be EUR. How can I set it up to treat the Euro account as such?
Hello Alan13,
The account will need to be set up as under Euro currency. As the account was originally created as GBP, you will need to create a new account to connect the bank to. This will mean disconnecting the account and reconnecting, selecting the new Euro account.
Thanks,
Talia
Thanks Talia
When I connected the account I didn't see a currency selection option. I chose to connect the account, signed in to the bank and it connected, but there was no option that I could see to select the currency of the account

Hello Alan
At the point of setting up the chart of account itself the currency would have to be changed before going to the banking page and connecting the bank.
Can you go to accounting and chart of accounts and check if the currency set against that account is GBP?
If you then go to new as if you were setting up a new bank account you should see where it has currency there is a drop down to change the currency you set up an account. Do you get that option?
Kind regards
Emma
