I'll discuss the specifics below to help your employees successfully access their wages email, Paul.
First off, if you're using QBO Standard Payroll to send payslips via email, your employees must enter an eight-character password to access the document. The password consists of the following:
- First four lowercase letters of the employee’s surname. If the surname is shorter than four letters, use the complete surname.
- First four lowercase letters of the NI number. If the NI number is unavailable, the employee’s birth year is used instead.
Then, if your employee is having issues with their password, double-check that their surname and NI number are correctly set up in the employee's settings.
For more information about this process, check out this article: Email or download payslips.
Additionally, I'll share this resource to guide you with an alternative way of letting your employees view, print, and download their payslips: Invite employees to QuickBooks Workforce.
