Managing your finances as a self-employed individual should be simple, and I completely understand how convenient it is to have the QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) app on your phone, fiona17.
Due to system changes and ongoing improvements, the app is no longer available for download from the App Store or Google Play Store. If you already have the app installed, you can continue to use it as usual. However, if you uninstall the app or switch to a new device, you won't be able to download it again.
This change is part of Intuit’s new and improved product, QuickBooks Online Sole Trader, an upgraded version of QuickBooks Self-Employed. This is designed to offer an even better experience for tracking your transactions. I see how confusing it might be to see the QuickBooks Small Business app and not be able to log in. QBSE and QuickBooks Small Business are two separate products, each designed for different needs. While they may look similar, your Self-Employed credentials won't work on the Small Business app.
Fortunately, you can still access your QBSE account using a web browser, where all the same features, such as tracking expenses and managing finances, are available.
