Individual Contractor

Hi

ive just signed up for QB intuitive but not sure it works for me.

Im self employed contractor and work for one company.  I am registered with HMRC as an individual and not a company.
is QB still good to use?  I was recommended the software to make my tax returns a lot easier and use for uploading receipts.  Worried this isn’t the right software to use.  Thanks

Hello, Gracefrankie.

Thanks for choosing our software for your business! I'll lay down a few helpful details to help you decide which version works for you.

Yes, QuickBooks can help you come up with reports and data to make your tax returns easier. Also, it can be used for uploading and keeping your receipts. If you're filing for self-assessment taxes, then the Self-Employed version might be for you.

You can check out these articles to help you familiarise with the features:

Though, you might want to check out QuickBooks Online if you have more complex needs. You can check the overview page here: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/uk/.

We published a number of articles specific to each version. Check them out in our general topics page if you need help (change the product under Select a product). They'll cover the basic functionalities, features and how to utilise the software with ease.

I'll help you navigate around QuickBooks if you have more questions about the features. Just reply here and I'll show you what you can do in the software. Have a solid day ahead!
