Why has Intuit disabled our Desktop on 11/6/23, 19 days before 30/6/23 deadline?

Intuit has disabled QuickBooks Desktop prematurely

The possible reason is to help since it's our priority for you to stay compliant with tax regulations and let you move early to another program, @gmartell.

This may be why your QuickBooks Desktop has prematurely disabled before the said discontinuation date. The shortest route will be moving to QuickBooks Online to stay compliant with the recent changes to accounting and tax regulations or exporting your reports.

If you're unsatisfied with the sudden changes, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Desktop Support team to check if they can let you still access the program until June 30, 2023. You can contact them through this link for account issues: What can we help you with? Then follow these steps:

  1. Select QuickBooks Desktop as your product.
  2. Enter your concern.
  3. Hit Continue.
  4. Choose Start a chat.

Moreover, I encourage checking this article for more details about why we are discontinuing QuickBooks Desktop and how to sort it out: QuickBooks Desktop discontinuation support.

Let me know if you need more assistance. I'm always here to help you more. Keep safe.
