I’m having trouble linking the mileage tracker on my iPhone to desktop website
please can anyone help
Welcome to the Community, @SChilvers7.
Mileage Tracker is only available in the Online (QBO) and Self-Employed (QBSE) version of QuickBooks.
I'm here to help ensure that your trips will sync to QBO or QBSE. First off, let's ensure that your iOS is updated. The latest version is 6.2.8. Then, set your phone's location permission is set to "Always", and the Motion and Fitness.
Here's how:
However, if your app is already updated and set but your trips still aren't syncing, you can manually add them so you can track it again in QBO. Check out this great article for more details: How to track mileage in QBO?.
If the issue persists, I’d suggest contacting our Customer Care team. They can check your data to help you identify what's causing the issue and resolve it.
I'm always around here to help in case you have additional questions. Take care.
Hi
since the last app update the mileage tracking is no longer working properly. It won’t recognise the correct address, when you switch on auto tracking it doesn’t calculate the mileage and subsequent costs. It won’t let you back date if you forgotten to enter a mileage. I tried it online as well and is really frustrating that this has now gone so bad that it is useless. Can someone urgently sort this out please as am not happy about that.
Hello Stefan Richers, can we ask what kind of account do you have with us at Quickbooks is it one of our online packages (Simple Start, Essentails or Plus) or is it our self employed account? What kind of mobile device are you using is it IOS or Andriod?
