One machine corrupting a file?

I have recently installed Premier 2016 onto a new computer to replace my old computer for home working.

 

Normally, if I want to work at home, I will back up the company file, and then restore when I get back.

What is strange is that when I backup at work, and use Complete verification function, everything is fine. I can post entries and work as normal without issue, and any backup created seem to be fine..

 

However, the moment I restore the company file at home on the new PC, no matter how little I then work on the file, it says it is corrupted when I go to create a backup. The rebuild function then tries but crashes after a while of trying to rebuild. The new home PC has more RAM and a faster CPU than the work computers.

 

Has anyone seen this before, when one particular workstation seems to corrupt company files, but others don't?

Additional information:

If I then  try to work on the file that has been labelled as corrupted, I notice that all manner of things have been changed.

When I run an audit trail report for the day, even if nothing has been posted, loads of old entries have been amended, and in place of the date on these entries, it instead states 'in version 2.0'??

Help has arrived, @Symphony22.

 

It's my priory that you'll be able to work with your company file on the new PC with no issues.

 

Let's run the QuickBooks File Doctor since verifying and rebuilding your data doesn't make a difference. This process can help fix data-related issues on your company file.

 

To do that:

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. We recommend you download the most recent version (1.4.0.0) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it (like your Downloads folder or your Windows desktop).
  3. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  5. When the install finishes, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.

After that: 

  1. From the tool hub, select Company File Issues.
  2. Select Quick Fix my File.
  3. Select OK when it completes and launch your QuickBooks.
