Things are tough right now, @ungersj. That's why I'm here to provide some information about the printing process in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
I appreciate you sharing a screenshot of the issue as well as additional details about this. I know how important it is to make printing easier. However, the program has its printing process that requires you to select some buttons to confirm that you're ready to print the form.
As a workaround, you'll want to consider following the steps recommended by @william555 in performing the batch print.
To request lessen the clicks when printing, I recommend sending feedback to our product developers. Rest assured that they are bound to improve the program's features in line with the needs of the users. Here's how:
You'll want to check this article to further assist you in printing forms in QBO: Fix print alignment for pre-printed cheques.
Feel free to post here again if you have any other printing concerns. I'm just around the corner and ready to help. Have a great day ahead and keep safe always.

We have had no other reports of this.
Can you try clearing your cache and cookies, to all time, close the browser down and reload it and try again and see if it just works when you click one it once. Let us know if you still have an issue. This link here will help you.
Well these are the steps you have to do to make a single print !!!!!
Quick books....more like SLOW BOOKS !!!!
There you go ????
FUNNY HOW WHEN A MAJOT FLAY IS POINTED OUT THE "ADMIN USERS" GO ALL QUIET !!!!!!
GOOD OLD SLOWBOOKS !!
I am having the same problem. I am using a Mac and Chrome browser. Wonder if other people do not have this problem on other browsers or on PC?
Thanks for joining this thread, @BTAdmin. I'd be glad to clarify the process of printing vendor and sales forms in QuickBooks Online.
I can see how it is beneficial for users to have a single step to print any forms. In QuickBooks, you'll need a minimum of three clicks to verify that you're ready to print the form.
The Print Preview is a functionality that lets users see the pages that are about to print, allowing the users to see exactly how the pages will look when they are printed.
Next, is to set up your set up the number of copies, and any other options you want to show in the form and click the Print button to complete the process.
Additionally, I'll be leaving this handy article that you can browse to learn more about printing forms in QuickBooks: Email or print multiple invoices and sales forms.
Keep in touch if you have other printing issues with QuickBooks Online. I'll be happy to lend a helping hand. Have a great day ahead.
You have fundamentally misunderstood QuickBooks and how your CUSTOMERS use it - Customers cannot change anything in the formatting so there is no need for so many steps when printing.
When you raise a Sales Receipt or Invoice ( or their associated credit notes ) we only need the single button to print. - there is no need to PREVIEW
The current 3 click process is frustrating and wastes time and results is duplicates being printed as you never know if you have printed or not.....
Listen to your end users and build what they want - don't let your developers take the lazy route
One button print and you can then "code the preview and select the printer and print" behind the scenes
Thank you for your reply. Maybe nice for a few people, but not for the majority of people who do this all day long. Lots of wasted time and money. Previously it was much it was much faster.
As we are writing and printing sales receipts and invoices all day long. We might have to hire another person to help or look for an alternative because there is too much wasted time. Is there a 1 click print option in the desk top QUICKBOOKS version? Does anyone know if there is a 1 click print option for invoices and sales receipts on XERO or FRESHBOOKS? If QBO online does not add a 1 click print option for invoices and sales receipts soon we will have to make a change. Too much wasted time.
Yep - I feel your pain !!!!
It is complete nonsense what QBO have designed.....I wonder how many POS systems have 4 button clicks to print a Sales Receipts.....
To the QBO Techies - it is simple.....add a button that saves & prints at the same time
Our APC label printer can do it........so it's not rocket science
I think all of qbo users know how to print no need for the article on printing! This is a simple and logical request! I want to print 1 check but I have to click 3 times for it. While others programs is only 1 click. Fix this!
yep exactly the same here, massive pain
Hi,
Here's a solution. Create all your invoices and just save them.
Then from main page: Sales > Invoice > select the invoices you want to print (check off squares), click 'Batch' at the top left, select "Print".
Better than clicking over and over for each invoice!
Good luck!
Thanks for the feed back - alas we also have a shop counter with customers coming in and purchasing goods and services so we use Sales Receipts mainly - as well as Sales Invoices for on account customers, - so that is just not a practical solution.
We tried asking for emails....but the Slowbooks system is so slow when you try and capture that info it is not not worth the hassle and time....and then there is the spelling or emails.....
They really need to review this - we have another web system for printing labels and it is Sooooooo Simple !!!! 2 clicks...Print - Ok....label printed
Slowbooks need to address this printing issue....
One of the many reasons I way prefer the old desktop version.

Well said. It's a bunch of BS and they know it. And their prices keep going up... What a joke.
@Rubielyn_J You are absolutely correct! There is no ability to change anything in any of the reports - It is a BIG waste of time. Print, Print, Print, Print...just print already!!
QBO is the bane of my existence... the number of times i've flown into a garbage-man rage trying to print a simple estimate or invoice. if i want to print something - I have to click "print or preview", then move up and click "print or preview", and it opens a new dialog with a "print" button. Click that. Nope. That doesn't print it. Opens the document as a pdf in my browser. From there i click the printer icon. it opens another dialog. there is a button that says "print". dare i press it? I do! Nirvana! the printer starts whirring.
For those keeping track, it is 5 clicks to print one document. Outstanding product, Intuit. Very "intuit"ive. Please keep raising your prices and ignoring the concerns of your loyal customers. Just keep those shareholders happy.
Its a problem on all of the platforms
I think you forgot the 2 additional clicks to close out to get back to the original doc. Lol!
Actually not funny. Takes me 7 clicks to print an estimate or invoice. Ridiculous!!!
Loved my desk top version, changed to online, the OS is quicker but the added labor to move around sucks!
Ahhhh it's nice to know I am not alone in my curiosity about this process. I figured I had something set up wrong, but I guess not.
Goodness me! You are absolutely right! Click click click and click again to print anything!
Also, anyone having problems with fuzzy printing on bold?
this is a painful experience ....... how come so many people complain and QBO (slowbooks online really) do nothing about it......
has anyone tried Xero?
After going back to desktop a few years back, I'm here trying QBO once again. I thought for sure this printing issue would be better by now. It is ridiculous! We use this for printing out counter sales all day long....that's a lot of clicks!
