Anyone else got an issue after registering for MTD and the open return status is blocked. Also says to refresh the connection with hmrc but that doesnt work??

Hi jenni-holden

 

If your return is not due until the end of June then you will see the blocked default message. This message is alerting you to the fact that you are unable to submit your return at the present time.

Not until end of June -but I want to make sure I have done everything right. I can see others having a problem and 72 hours should be allowed. Is that right?

Hi,

could this be why I am getting an unable to connect to HMRC take action status.

I have filed vat return for end of December & signed up to MTD. Next return is due April so is this why I cannot connect? I have had email confirmation from HMRC.

Thanks for commenting on this post, 

 

So if your getting to take action and you have gotten and done everything on the list then you would need to speak to HMRC to find out why they are not authorising you to do the submissions but with you dont due until April you could leave it until near the time. also could try disconnecting and reconnecting to HMRC in the main cogwheel setting but if yous till getting the take action and the list then you need to speak to HMRC as it is them that's sending that message to Quickbooks.

I have removed MTD and re connected and also removed my previous agent from my HMRC account. Still getting the same reply. Maybe i need to wait until the next return is due. Just wanted it all set up so not to have any issues later.
