Cancel my subscription - But I want to purge

I want to purge my company file as I have just finished testing it. But as my file is over 90 days old , I now have to cancel my subscription and restart a new file. I am not sure exactly what this means. I want to set up the company file again, use the same mobile  number and email as I used with the original company file I set up and start. Is that how it works?

Any help from anyone who has done that would be appreciated. Thanks.

Cancel my subscription - But I want to purge

Hello Community users, we just wanted to add onto this thread some clarification on the process if you are past the 90 days purge period and want to start again. In this case we mean; if you do not want to use the data in the original company as it was test data, but you wish to use the same sign in details.

The best option is to cancel the original company and then when you go to take out the new subscription make sure once you have selected the package you then select the Already have an Intuit account? Sign in. option which is below the enter email address and password.

This will create a new company with the same email address as the old one. This also works for the scenario where you have multiple companies you wish to have on the same login and then have the functionality to switch between those companies on that login(cog in the top right of QuickBooks>switch company)

Yes, you can only purge your account if it is less than 90 days, @User1011.

Your data will be accessible with read-only access for a year after you discontinue your QuickBooks Online membership.

You can still re-subscribe with the same credentials. However your data will be unavailable after 12 months, however. You can access your previous data if you renew your paid QuickBooks Online subscription within a year of canceling it.

You can check this article to learn more about canceling your account: What happens to my QuickBooks Online data after I cancel?

Additionally, here is an article you can refer to for the detailed steps to cancel a subscription: Cancel your QuickBooks Online subscription or trial.

Let me know if you have questions about the cancellation of the subscription. I'm always here to help. Have a great day.
