Hello, I am planning on converting from QB 2010 too QBO, from what I understand I will need to update the quick books too 2020 before hand, to do this where will I find my back up data and is there a way to make another backup? As I do not want to lose my data If I it mess up.

Hi LHVJ You will have to update/upgrade to at least the 2105 version to be qable to migrate to the online product. You can find where their data is stored from the main login screen, it shows the file path, under the location heading. You can create a backup under the file tab. (you can just use the backup you create if you wanted to as well which would be easier to find).

Open a new blank QBO account
then chat Support and ask Data Service to migrate your file. Make sure your Total Targets < 500K prior to migrating to QBO. Otherwise, contact us in private and we may help to migrate it with a fee.
