I'd like to help you fix this, ShannonEuclid.

If you're using the browser, then let's do some troubleshooting steps to rule out any browser-related issues.

To start, open an incognito or private browser. This mode will not store the cache and cookies. Next, go to https://qbo.intuit.com and log in to your account.

Once logged in, try saving or sending an invoice. If it works, your final step is to clear the cache in your regular browser. This helps freshen up the browser settings.

Here's an article that include the steps on each browser: How do I clear my browser cache and temporary Internet files?.

As an alternate solution, try using a different browser.

For using the mobile app, just make sure you have the updated version.

If the same thing happens, you reach out to our Customer Care Team for further assistance:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Self-Employed. You can click the Assistant option or click the Help icon located in the upper right-hand corner.
  2. In the Help window, click the Contact Us button at the bottom.
  3. Enter your question and click the Continue button.
  4. Select Start a chat or Get a callback.

I appreciate the effort of performing some troubleshooting steps so you can send an invoice via the app, Owens. And, thank you for the screenshot.

Let's log in to your QuickBooks account using a web browser and try to send the invoice from there. That way, we can check if this is only happening to the mobile app.

Here are the steps you can follow.

  1. Log in to QuickBooks Self-Employed.
  2. Go to Invoices and select Create invoice.
  3. Select an existing customer, or create a new one by entering their name, address, and email address.
  4. Decide when you want to be paid and enter the date in the Due date field.
  5. To add items to the invoice, select Add work, then select Flat rate or By hour from the drop-down menu.
  6. Or select By item if you're charging for a product. Enter an amount. Then select Add to invoice.
  7. To add more items to the invoice, choose Add work.
  8. When you're ready, select Send invoice to email your invoice.
  9. You can also click the arrow and Preview to see what your customer will receive.

You can also check out this article about the invoicing feature in QuickBooks Self-Employed: Easy Invoicing In QuickBooks Self-Employed.

If this works on the web browser, then there's an issue with the mobile app. I'll let you contact our QuickBooks Live Team and report it to them. That way, they'll be able to monitor and send you updates via email.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Assistant option or select the Help icon located in the upper right-hand corner.
  2. In the Help window, click the Contact Us button at the bottom.
  3. Enter your question and click the Continue button.
  4. Select Start a chat or Get a callback.

I'm adding these articles to help record the invoice payment: Learn how to create a new transaction from a receipt image. It provides detailed steps for a customer who wants to make a payment right now or has already paid you.

If you have any other QuickBooks-related concerns, you can always post them here. I'll be sure to answer them.
