QB 2010 keeps saying my licence is invalid, but I've been using it for 14 years!
Hi nssc Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Community. Are you attempting to install the product on another device?
Thanks for replying. No, it's on the same laptop it's been on for several years, running with no issues. I thought maybe a Windows update had screwed things up, but I'm no expert.
Hi nssc It could be a Windows update that is causing the issue as the product that you're using isn't compatible with the latest Windows version. Do you still have the physical disk to attempt to use the product on a device that hasn't had any updates?
You are in a difficult situation. If you try to reinstall your license, you will not be able to activate it again. As the last resort, you can use the trial version as a workaround.
Thanks for the replies all. This is on Windows 10 with updates turned off, but Microsnot sneak some through despite this. And I do have the installation CD, which appears to reinstall the product, but the result is the same:
Hi nssc Do you have a device that you can install the disc on that hasn't had a Windows update? We've also included a download link for the 2010 product, ideally the link should be used on a device that hasn't had the Windows update however it may work on your device due to the compatibility being outside the recommendations of the products install limit: https://intuit.me/4ek8pIq
It shows a fatal error message and you can't do anything about it. Using the trial version is the only solution for your case.
Many thanks. I'm away from the computer for a couple of days, so I'll try this when I get back
