Imho, there is no definite answer to describe the scale of business size using QB. It will depend on which features you need to run your business. You will need 3rd party apps at some point to upgrade or replace basic features in QB. If you need more than 5 users to access QB, you might consider using the upcoming QBO Advanced UK version and it looks like you can buy it next month.
