I'm having trouble matching the sage fields we are converting with the Quickbooks fields...we have a large Sage stock database, however we are unable to match all the fields, especially the location field which doesn't show on the conversion list of option in QB...anyone have any experience in this?
We had a few clients migrating from Sage (e.g PT, BW) to QBO US. The 3rd party importer tool was not able to migrate the inventory data. They purchased a 3rd party conversion service to speed up the migration.
Hello,
When migrating via the UK systems - you can use this link:
Intuit Data Services
https://quickbooks.intuit.com/data-migration/
we have had the data migration team convert our stock database already, however where we are struggling it match the relevant Quickbook Fields with the Sage Fields correctly
Hello Sharazm,
Does the stock export from Sage reference the Account that stock would post too?
It's the Chart of Accounts (Income and Expense), The Description (Not vital) that you have no match for, along with a Quantity Date - these will need to be on the export provided by Sage; if they are not on there, you will need to add them in prior to import.
What I am having trouble with is linking what the QB 'Type' field is and what this is referred to in the Sage DB
I can't tell you what that will be referred to in the Sage DB - But i can tell you it will either be "Stock, Service or Non-Stock" on the QB account - You may need to add this into the sage spreadsheet.
