Thankyou for your response. We have other issues with Amex as well and so decided to cancel our account with them - the QBO issue was one of many.
So we are now looking another credit card with one of our selection critieria is that it already works with QBO

We've used a Natwest credit cad that has worked well. The list the QBO team provided is useful
