Year end

Thanks for posting in the Community, Sam282.

Currently, the option to do so isn't available in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

I can see how the ability to adjust your fiscal year-end date can be beneficial to your business. QBSE is designed so that your tax year or fiscal year is the calendar year. This is why you weren't asked to specify a fiscal year start or end date during setup.

With this, I recommend submitting a Feature Request through the feedback section. You can do this through the QBSE mobile app, as the web-based digital assistant is currently undergoing maintenance. This way, our product engineers can take note of the need for this feature and consider adding it in future updates.

Here's how to send feedback:

  1. Open the QBSE app.
  2. Tap the Assistant icon at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Type and send Feedback.
  4. Select Add a feature.
  5. Send your feature request.

You can check out the help articles here for more info on tax years in QBSE: Business calendar and year-end.

For future use, here's a guide on generating reports in QBSE: Export transactions and get reports in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

If you have any other questions about adjusting company settings, please let me know by adding a comment below. I'm always here to help. Keep safe always!
