I'll share some information about filing VAT-MTD. Once the return has been submitted to HMRC you will receive an email confirmation containing a receipt number along with information of your return. The email is sent from quickbooks-email@intuit.com.
Meanwhile, you'll want to mark your VAT return as filed in QuickBooks.
In your case, you'll want to check your VAT account from your Chart of Account if the VAT payable amount was removed or deducted. Press Ctrl + A to open the Chart of Accounts. If it is still there, please contact our Customer Care Support so we can investigate further.
To reach out:
- Go to Help. Then, choose QuickBooks Desktop Help.
- Scroll down towards Contact Us.
- Enter a brief description of the issue, then tap Continue.
- Choose either Chat or Get a callback.
