Can someone please advise how I can change the number on journal entries to automatically update on quickbooks online?

QuickBooks uses a sequential numbering system for journal entries. When creating a journal entry, you can change the number in the Journal no. field, and the system will then follow the specified order for numbering transactions moving forward. The system automatically increases it by one based on the last entry.

1. Select the Reports menu, then enter Journal in the Search field.
2. Set the reporting date.
3. Click the journal entry in question.
4. Edit the number in the Journal no. field.
5. Hit on Save.
