Thanks for reaching out to us here in the Community, dom4.

Let me welcome you to the QuickBooks family. I can help clarify why you’re not routed to the last page when selecting the correct option.

If you have a few bank transactions, QuickBooks Online will only handle up to 500 entries. f the number exceeds 500, the system will group them depending on what you’ve selected in the Rows section.

For example, if you choose 300, when you click on the Last option the software will load up that specific number.

We strive to provide better services and features to meet our customers' needs. Once I hear of any updates about this, I’ll post them here in the Community.

This should point you in the right direction. Stay in touch if you have any follow-up questions or concerns about QBO. Please know I’m always here to assist further.

From what you say, this therefore means :-

1. The "> LAST" button is completely misleading as it currently stands, as 'last' means the very last page of data, whereas the simple '>' means 'next page' in all online circumstances; and

2. QB should not be 'handling' a mere 500 transactions in respect of pressing the "> LAST" button, the command should clearly be interpreted by the browser to load all data into memory and then scroll to the "LAST" page of it.

I have over 13,000 banking entries, so I need the last button to do "what it says on the tin" - i.e. scroll to the last page. Similarly with the FIRST.

Any stated rationale otherwise is a mere excuse, not an acceptable solution.

Please can you therefore confirm you have urgently requested this be amended by the Tier 3 coders (on both the website and the OS App) and seek their feedback as to when this will be implemented. It is an exceedingly simple fix, in computer codings terms, and one which should evidently be implemented without delay because, at the moment, it is actually a bug and/or an oversight, rather than a function by design. It is simply not doing the function it purports to advertise.

Thanks.

Hello dom4,

I'd like to jump in and add a workaround for this function. You can sort the Date column in descending order to get you to the last page. Sorting it in ascending order will also lead you to the first page.

While we don't have a specific time frame as to when this will be implemented, rest assured that I will be sending feedback to our engineers regarding this function.

Feel free to reply anytime if you need help with anything else.

Hi @ShiellaGraceA

Thanks for the workaround, but it doesn't actually address the issue that this is a clear bug.

Therefore, how do I raise a complaint or an active investigation into this, bearing in mind that this isn't 'feedback', it's a complaint as a paid-up monthly user.

In short QB should clearly be processing the entirety of the data available under banking when the "LAST >" button is depressed, not merely the 500 transactions ahead of it. As per all online services ">" is the symbol for reaching the next page, whereas "LAST >" should achieve what it says on the tin.

Please advise.

Many thanks.

I can point you in the right direction, Domalos.

I’ve checked with my resources and didn’t find any open tickets similar to your concern. We’ll have to determine why the Last option doesn’t automatically jump to the specified page.

Accessing of the company requires collection of personal information. Since the safety of your account comes first, I suggest contacting our QBO Support Team.

They can view the data in a secure environment. Once they’ve identified this is as an unexpected behavior, our support team can raise a ticket for further investigation.

You can either reach them via Email or Phone. Please know our phone support is open within this time: Monday to Friday from 8 am - 8 pm BST.

This should help you move forward. Please let me know how it goes after contacting them. I want to make sure this is taken care of.
