The option to send reminders without an invoice isn't possible in QuickBooks Online. You can generate an estimate and send it to your customer to keep them informed of the costs. When you're ready to invoice them, convert the estimate into an invoice.
Here's how:

Hello Tracey2972,
Welcome to the Community page,
So it is not possible to transfer between account you would need to do a journal to show it however you can't make a journal billable. Also to add if it was to be billable, it'd need to hit debtors not COS, if you wish to do that, you are better off declaring a bill with COS as the account and indicating its billable, but there is no option to transfer from an asset.
When we usually buy things I mark them as billable and they go straight to the unbilled report ready to invoice straight out to customers.
This time we bought some billable items for resale and have held on to them briefly so I allocated them to an asset account (we don't use stock and it would get messy if we did).
Now we've sold those items on but aren't going to invoice them for a couple of weeks but I need a reminder to charge for them.
Any ideas?
