Hi insidethetravell Your customers are only able to pay with a credit card if they are paying via the PayPal app integrated in Quickbooks more details can be found here under the pricing section. It advises the customer can pay via credit card when you invoice them through Quickbooks using the Paypal app connection. It is subject to Paypal fees for the transaction however.
Hello Insidethetravell,
Welcome to the Community page,
So if you put the details on the invocie , if you go to custom form styles and then edit the invoice then on the bottom box in the footer you can enter in your bank details in there and save it. The customer can then pay the bills that way for you. If you do that you need to make sure that you have the invocie settings in the main cog wheel >account and settings>sales>and in online delivery set to plain text.
You may need an additional app to do so.
Thanks for the answer but I don't think that bank details are enough for someone to pay by credit card. They need a place to enter their credit card details - don't they?
I already have the company bank details in the footer. The help section of Quickbooks suggest that there is a Pay Now button and an option to have clients pay by credit card - but I cannot work out how to activate it.
You may have some options:
1. Explore this app

2. Open a virtual bank account at Wise. It also supports Direct Debit and you may utilize the bank feeds.
3. Explore other payment gateway options (i.e PayPal, Stripe, Gocardless, Authorize.net) and utilize this app to reconcile transactions into your QBO account.

Even so, the option is not showing up. I have to send a separate invoice from PayPal. Yet QB makes it seem as though the option is available to add through a QB invoice.
Thank you for your time!
Thank you - I have found a workaround through Stripe and Sendowl.
However, the QB documentation makes it appear as though this should be possible within QB itself, without paying for extra fees.
Hm...
I noticed Sendowl similar to this app

You may utilize this app to connect Sendowl and your QBO account.
