Reports for supplier

Hello Everyone I hope you guys are doing well. I have tried to ask you this again and again but no one is willing to solve my issue. This is the reason I am posting this again.

 I have posted many post regarding this but got no solution yet.

I am looking for a report which shows following.

1. Proper running Balance.

2. Debit , Credit

3. Narration for both Bill payment (check) & Bills narration.

Please Note I want a single ledger report which shows proper running balance, Narrations as well.

Just suggest me a single report which meets all my requirement. I'll be really thankful to you.

I am also sharing an example so you get it.

 

Date               Transaction Type           Memo/Description                         Debit            Credit          Balance

14-12-2020    Bill                                  Purchased a Bottle of Vodka.         1000                                 1000

15-12-2020    Bill payment (Check)  Paid Via Cash                                                           300              700

 

There are many similar reports like Transaction list by Account or Transaction list by supplier but these reports but either they dont show proper running balance or does not show bill payment chq narration therefore I hope this time I will get a solution. I hope so. Please I am asking since a long time..

I do appreciate your time in posting your questions here, Coolen0ugh.

 

The Transaction List by Date report allows you to add the Debit, Credit, and Open Balance of each transaction. Also, the Memo/Description column shows what Memo you entered on the transactions instead of the Description on each line item. 

 

Let me show you how:

 

  1. Go to the Reports menu and search for Transaction List by Date
  2. At the upper-right, click Customise.
  3. Under Rows/Columns, click Change Columns.
  4. Select Memo/Description, Debit, Credit, and Open Balance
  5. To filter the report to only show bills and bill payments, click the Filter section.
  6. Select Transaction Type and from the drop-down, check Bill and Bill Payment (Check).
  7. Click Run report.

You can export the report and manually enter the description you entered on the Description column of the transaction. Here are a few references on how we generate reports:

Thanks for the reply,

I have already been through transaction list by Date report. But, this report does not shows running balance. It shows balance which is due which is not right. Yes all narrations of bills and payment are visible but no proper running balance please provide a report which meets all these requirements and provide running balance too.

Hi Coolen0ugh There isn't a report available that displays debit and credit columns, you could however run a 'Purchases by Supplier detail' report. This report will provide you with an amounts column including a total and a balance column.
