Trial Balance

You can use JE to import Trial Balance.

https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-uk/help-article/import-export-files/import-journal-en...

Another option, prepare your JE data with the following template

RefNumberTxnDatePrivateNoteIsAdjustmentCurrencyExchangeRateAccountLineAmountLineDescEntityClassLocation
10101/10/2020Wire TransferFALSE  Savings-50.00Credit Savings
10101/10/2020Wire TransferFALSE  Checking50.00Debit Checking
10201/10/2020Wire TransferFALSE  Savings200.00Debit Savings
10201/10/2020Wire TransferFALSE  Checking-200.00Credit Checking

then use an importer tool proceed.

As an additional option, use a backup restore app to lower any risks.

Trial Balance

It's good to see you here in the QuickBooks Community, Ella15. I'll ensure you can import the Trial balance into QuickBooks Online.

Please keep in mind that the ability to import the Trial balance directly is only available in certain QuickBooks regions or countries. With this, importing your trial balance data directly into QBO is presently not possible in the UK version. As a workaround, you can import the Trial balance as a Journal entry as suggested by Fiat Lux - ASIA. You can view the step-by-step process by clicking on the link provided by Fiat.

Additionally, you may also visit the Apps menu inside QBO to find a specific app that you can integrate with QuickBooks. This will allow you to import your trial balance entries instantly into QBO.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Apps menu at the left pane to get to the Finds Apps page.
  2. Enter a keyword in the Search address (i.e import).
  3. Select the app you want to use.
  4. Click Get app now.

Lastly, refer to this article if you need extra details on how importing data works in QuickBooks so you can manage them effectively in QBO: Common questions about importing data to QuickBooks Online.

Please post here again if you have other concerns with QuickBooks that you need help with. I'll be right here to help you out. Have a good one!
