Why are some accounts included as sundry creditors?

I have entered 2 Bills and they are showing as Sundry Creditors and not Accounts Payable. The Aged Creditors report is correct but not the Balance Sheet.

Why are some accounts included as sundry creditors?

Hi,

Thanks but that wasn't the issue.

QuickBooks was moving some of the Accounts Payable into Sundry Creditors and I couldn't see why. I even tried copying a Bill that was showing ok and then changing it but it did the same thing.

I resolved it by deleting the payments attached to those Bills and then picking them back up from the banking feed and it has resolved it.

Looks like a glitch to do with uploading an old version of the desktop QuickBooks into QBO.

I’m glad to share information with you about Sundry Creditor, @ItAddsUp.

Sundry Creditor is mostly used to represent the financial information about the supplier or service providers. The process of managing creditors is often referred to as Accounts Payable, and can be shown on the Liability side of the Balance Sheet.

You can review your bills in QuickBooks Online to verify the information you used when creating them. Please know that QuickBooks will base on the details entered on your transactions.

Here’s how:

  1. From your left pane, select the Expenses menu.
  2. Under the Expenses tab, locate the bills.
  3. Click the dropdown arrow in the Action column, then choose View/Edit.
  4. Check the account you select and other details.
  5. You can make changes if needed and then save.
