Hi there, kingy101101.

Basically, when you disconnect (delete) a bank account from QBSE, all transactions under it will be removed as well. When you reconnect your account, your transactions will be re-downloaded. If you add them, you will not incur any duplicates since the original transactions were already removed.

I hope this makes you smile today.

Keep on posting in the Community if you need more help with your QBSE account.

This is not the kind of experience Intuit wants for our valued subscribers, Miamoorhys2010.

I'm here to share information about Open Banking in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE). This way, you'll be guided if your bank is supported and what you need to do to keep your account updated.

Since you're prompted to upgrade your connection to Open Banking, this means your financial institution is supported for it. You can try to log in to your QBSE account through a web browser using your correct credentials. Then go to the Gear icon, select Bank accounts, and then connect your bank from there.

If you're still having difficulty in connecting your account, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Support team. They have a specific tool to verify why you're unable to connect and can walk you through to successfully execute the process.

  1. Go to the Assistant menu at the top.
  2. Type Talk to a human.
  3. Select from Message an agent or Get a callback.

In case you've encountered the error "We can’t find this account at your bank" in performing the connection process, kindly check out this article for the step-by-step guide on how to resolve it: Error when updating connection to Open Banking.

You can also share with me here the name of your financial institution so I can verify if there's an ongoing investigation about the Open Banking connection.

Please let me know if you have other concerns. I'm just around to help.
