How can I export a CSV of invoices from QBO?
I've found various links about importing a CSV of invoices into QBO - I want the reverse.

Hello Aidan
Currently there is not a function to export invoices from QuickBooks Online. Are you looking to import them into another system?
You can run a sales by customer detail report(from the reports section on the left hand side) and use the customise in the top right of the report>then in rows /columns>change columns>put a tick in the vat code box>run report. You can then export this to excel
You can also export from the all sales>all sales, then use the filter above the word date, filter the type to just invoices you can then export that to excel in the arrow on the right right side next to the print symbol. However this section does not have the ability to add in a vat code column
These are the two options which you could use.The function to export full invoices may be added in the future and you can always leave feedback here
Thanks
Emma
I have not heard of an app that will do that, but you can check the app store
QBO itself will not do it

Thanks - I got what I needed by combining data from those two reports. Adding a few more fields to the customer detail report would simplify the process.
Dear Emma,
We also need the functionality to export orders / invoices / delivery notes / etc. from QB online.
We see this is a very basic functionality and it is the kind feature that would motivate us to switch from QB to Xero.
Sadly, when I hear that it 'might' be included as a feature in a future upgrade, then it sounds to us like this feature is on its way to the graveyard.

Thanks for joining this conversation, Pairfum-London.
I can see how having the ability to export invoices and other forms from QuickBooks Online (QBO) would be helpful for you and your business. While this isn't available yet, I'll submit a request regarding this to our Product Developers. They're always looking for ideas from users on how to improve QBO. You can also submit feedback here.
Just in case, I'll be sharing this article for future reference: Common questions about importing data to QuickBooks Online.
Please reach out to me if you have any other issues or concerns. I'm always here to help. Cheers!
hi @Pairfum-London ,
You can export many transaction data including invoice from QBO using a 3rd party migration tool.

Hope it helps.
As a work around for this missing basic feature you can go to the invoice page and highlight all the entries and copy and paste it into excel. You only get the Date, Invoice No., Account, Amount, and Status columns. I do a lot of cash invoices but I don't manually enter them as transactions (who could be bothered?), so this is the only way to get the cash sales data for doing the tax return.
I to am looking to export invoice data from quickbooks to excel. in particular materials/ quantities and descriptions, so i can have something for my employees to reference without having amounts and cost. is there any update on this?
Hello Fedup247
There has been no change on invoice functions. You can not export invoices into excel. You can certainly leave feedback for our engineers here and we will post and future changes on our product updates page.
The only options at the moment are those mentioned in this thread, for example exporting information from a sales report, copying details and pasting into excel and using a third party app

If you want to export only specific data in invoice (e.g LineItem, LineDesc, LineQty) and schedule a recurring export to email, consider an exporter tool as above mentioned.
Because there still isn't a way to export invoices to Excel or Sheets from the QB Self-Employed app, I'll need to file and organize my invoices one by one. I've been a dedicated user for over a decade, and there don't seem to be any alternatives worth trying, but this is a really frustrating bug.
Hello Reidsinger,
Thanks for your feedback, we will note your comment. Following what Emma has previously advised, We can advise of two options for you as a workaround if you wish to use them.

Hello.
In the event you still have not resolved this, or if anyone else is struggling with the same issue, I found this a real problem myself. Someone, below, mentioned Transaction Pro - THANK YOU!!!!! I do not work for nor make money off them so this is an honest suggestion. I really needed to extract all data in a usable form. It did it. Hell, $10/month and I only needed it for 2 days. It Exports, Imports, and even Deletes. I suggest trying it. Trial only lets you pull 50 lines. Spend the $10.
