Hi Oscar, thanks for joining the QB Community - is it possible that you have connected the personal bank account to QuickBooks instead, or is the account showing both personal and business transactions?
Hi there
Thanks for getting back to me!
I seem to be seeing both, I've checked which account is linked it just shows my business account
I'm wondering if the software can't differentiate between my Starling accounts.
Many thanks
Oscar
Thank you for the additional information, Oscar.
QuickBooks cannot determine which transaction is personal or business. It only downloads the ones sent from the connected account. It doesn't have the ability to select which transactions to be downloaded as well.
In the connection process, we're you asked to specify which bank account to connect to? If not, then that's the reason why you see both your personal and business transactions. Meaning they are accessed using the same login credentials, which you use in connecting to QuickBooks.
I recommend reconnecting your account to start fresh since you've just started to use online banking. You'll want to follow the step below to disconnect it first.
Once disconnected, reconnect your account like how you connected it before. This will reload the transactions in the past 90 days.
On the other hand, you can check out the article about reconciliation for additional reference.
Let me know if you need more help with online banking. Take care and have a good one!
