They should not need to login when viewing the invoice. Would you be able to resend the invoice by going to your Invoice list, selecting the drop down action column and selecting Reminder. You can change the message so it does not mention being a reminder, and this will then send out the invoice again.
Let us know if they experience the same issue with the new invoice.

it did not make any difference. My client gets asked to log into QuickBooks.

Non-QBO users don't need to log in to view the invoice, Julio.
Let's make sure that your client are using another browser when opening the invoice.
If they're still unable to view, please temporarily send the invoice by attaching it to your email. Then, let your client click on the attached PDF file to view it.
In the meantime, I'd recommend reaching out to our Support Team to get more help with QuickBooks Self-Employed.
