Not a problem, simeon. I can guide you through deleting an invoice you mistakenly created in QuickBooks Online (QBO) in the easiest way.
Know that deleting a transaction will completely erase this from your books and won't affect your account balances. To begin, please see the guidelines below:
- Go to the Sales menu and navigate to the Invoices tab.
- Locate the transactions you want to delete.
- Under the Action column, click the dropdown arrow and select Delete. Then, press Delete to confirm.
Moreover, once you re-created the invoices correctly, you can proceed to record their payments once they got paid by your clients. Keeping it as a practice will maintain the accuracy of your books.
