I recently asked if you can add a pdf attachment to an estimate - which you can - following on from that - is there a way of adding permanently an attachment?

So that you dont have to keep adding the same attachment to the estimate - can this be stored to always be added?

Hello Annarowson-smith,

Welcome to the Community page,

If you go to, the main cog wheel> account and settings> sales> online delivery >make sure that the pdf box is ticked save and done, then they all go out as PDF invoices and Estimates.

thanks for this :)

understand that process - my issue is that the client seems to have to add the attachment each time

the tick box allows the attachment to be shown on the email (which is great)

they need to send generic terms on each quote - rather than adding the pdf each time - can this be done once - save you having to do each for each client over and over again?

Hi annarowson-smith, it's not possible to add the attachment as a default so that this appears automatically - the closest to this would be to upload the attachment (select the company cog > all lists > attachments > browse files to upload) and then, when entering the estimate, click 'show existing' > click add on the desired file from the panel on the right. We appreciate it would be handy to have the option to include a default, and we'd be grateful if you could submit feedback for this (select the cog > feedback in QuickBooks) so that this can be shared directly with our developers. :)
