I have followed the instructions above, it was all fine, no errors.
Finally I managed to get rid of the unwanted letters "GM"- in my Account and Settings I checked my company address record. It looked like "GM" letters (representing the county), were transferred for some reason from my company address to customer-facing address, although these addresses are different. After updating Customer-facing address and adding correct county abbreviation, it all works well now.
