A week ago QB stopped asking me to accept transactions. Bank is connected, but nothing updated. How do I get it working again?

I’ve also noticed that the figures are incorrect on the part of February that it has done. What’s going on?

A week ago QB stopped asking me to accept transactions. Bank is connected, but nothing updated. How do I get it working again?

Hello, cgpithie. Allow me to help you get your linked bank account working again and ensure that your most recent bank data shows in QuickBooks.

 

Before anything else, can you share the name of your bank? Did you also get an error message? This way, I can use my other resources and provide accurate information to your concern.

 

In the meantime, you can start a manual download to refresh the connection between your bank and QuickBooks. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Transactions, then Bank Transactions.
  2. Select Update.

 

Let's also access your QBO account using a private browsing session to investigate the inaccurate figures. You can also use another supported browser to isolate this behavior.

I’ve done the first bit several times, I am using the app so no, can’t do anything else. It’s not working and I’m definitely not paying for this. I’ll go back to doing my accounts on my laptop, no problem.

It seems that your accounts work well when using your laptop. To help you run QBO in the app smoothly, I recommend updating your QBO app and managing your device settings. Sometimes, the QBO app may behave differently, especially when outdated, which could affect its compatibility with your device. To clear your device settings, follow the steps below:

 

  • For Android users, to clear data from the QuickBooks app, follow these steps: Go to your device's Settings, and select Apps (this may vary depending on your device). Then, find the QuickBooks app from the list and choose Storage. Finally, click on Clear Data.
  • For iOS users, to free up storage space occupied by an app without deleting its documents and data, follow these steps: Go to your device's Settings, and select Setting General iPhone Storage. From there, choose the app that's taking up a lot of space. Finally, select Offload App.

 

If done, you can now uninstall and update your device. After that, reinstall the QBO app's latest update to refresh the system.
