Bank balance in QB is 360 too high, paypal balance is 360 too low

diff between bank banlance and QB: 4081.63−3845.38 = 236.25

paypal qb balance: 236.36

notice they are very close numbers.

Could be a coincidence, but I think this means I have some transactions that are mis-categoriesed maybe as transfer from bank to Paypal?

Any tips for debugging this problem?

Hello Rich77,

Welcome to the Community page,

It could be possible that you have mis-catergorsed those transactions. If you do a reconciliation, you will be able to see what exactly has happened. Most users do a monthly reconciliation, but you can do a shorter or longer period. It is easier to drill down on where the difference is coming from on a shorter period reconcile, however. We've included on article on how to reconcile here. It will help you clearly see if there are missing transactions or duplications which is the likely cause. Also make sure the opening balance is correct as that can impact things going forward.

Any questions do not hesitate to ask.
