Hi Garryctaylor,

Welcome to the UK Community Page for QuickBooks Online, That's a fab question!

I'm going to formally recommend speaking to your accountant, or one specialized in QuickBooks Online. I'll be honest, i'm not personally aware whether or not there is any specific requirement from HMRC to present the information in any specific format for a self billing arrangement.

Presuming, that it falls under the same HMRC requirement for showing tax as every other transaction in your books, i don't think you'll have to actually send them to yourself. If you create the invoice on QuickBooks Online, this can be done without an email address in our Online Product, and then just effectively mark it as paid without sending the email.

I've seen self billing arrangements be done in a couple of ways on QB, it's the only reason i'm really recommend speaking to your accountant, who will have the knowledge and insight into your business to give you an answer right for your business.
