Can you auto save while you work? Ive just lost 2 hours of work because I clicked the save button and it logged me out.

Looking at some of the questions, this needs to be sorted, this is a paid subscription service that doesn't feature an auto save?

Hello, @psellick8.

Currently, the ability to auto-save your transactions in QuickBooks is not available. However, you'd want to set QuickBooks so that it will not timeout for a maximum of 2 - 3 hrs. The time of inactivity is based on the time that you last save, or moved your mouse, clicked, or used your keyboard on any transaction form in QuickBooks.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Under Your Company, choose Account and Settings.
  3. Go to the Advanced tab.
  4. Click the pencil icon to edit the Other Preferences section.
  5. Set the hour to Sign Me Out If Inactive for.
  6. Click Save and then Done

Once you're inactive beyond the setup time, you'll be logged out automatically. You can read through this article for more information about this feature: Change the timeout duration in QuickBooks Online.
