Hi,
I have a transaction that I've been unable to categorise correctly. The transaction is for £34.05 into my account from a Shopify payout.
The original transaction was for £35 sale (inc. 20% VAT (£5.84)), but Shopify took their transaction fee (£0.95) before paying my account, so the final transaction in my bank/quickbooks account shows as £34.05.
How can I categorise the transaction correctly in QB? Currently if I select 20% VAT in QB, it only calculates 20% VAT based on (£34.05) after the transaction fee was deducted, instead of before the transaction fee was deducted (based on the £35)
Thanks in advance :)

Hi Blake,
Thank you for posting here in the Community. I'm here to help you categorize your Shopify transactions in QuickBooks Online.
Can you share more information about how you integrate your Shopify? Did you use the QuickBooks Connector (OneSaas) app on your Shopify App Store to integrate with our app?
I recommend contacting the Shopify Support Team for further assistance with the Payouts sync workflow and mapping. This way, they'll be able to review your setup and assist with the categorization.
Here are some links you can check for additional information and guidance with the integration:
If you consider excluding downloaded transactions and manually recording the processing fees, use the Bank deposit feature. You don't need to edit your QuickBooks sales transaction amounts when performing the process.
Additionally, you have the option to choose between three different methods of sending your contacts to QuickBooks Online. I've attached an article you can visit to learn how to send your contacts to QuickBooks Online: Integrate Shopify contacts into QuickBooks Online.
Comment below if you have additional questions about categorizing transactions in QuickBooks. We're always here to help. Have a great day ahead.
